黒陶波状文（こくとうはじょうもん） Hajoumon-Earthnware
波状文（はじょうもん）とは
自分で刻んだ櫛で丹念に波模様を描いています。これを波状文と呼んでいます。
縄文土器の温かさと力強さに、形の模倣をするのではなく、その精神性―畏敬と祈り―の心を自らの肉体を通して再構築してみたいと思いました。
波状文は、木・火・土・金・水の五つの要素によって天も地も生命も成り立つ、とする中国古来からの世界観である「陰陽五行」を表しています。
“HAJOMON” OR WAVE MOTIF
Picture me intently scratching wavy shapes onto the surface of my pieces with a comb I fashioned myself.
What I am attempting is not to imitate the warmth and forcefulness found in Jomon vessels, nor to merely reproduce their shapes. But rather I wish to reconstruct in the present, and through the means of my own physical body, the spirituality imbued in Jomon pieces—each one a prayer of divine awe and reverence.
Hajomon itself expresses the five elements of the ancient Chinese philosophy of yin and yang—wood, fire, earth, metal and water—of which all things, living and nonliving, in heaven and on earth are composed.
